Radiology Associates of Macon has been serving the Central Georgia community since 1972. Our group is a hospital-based private practice radiology group consisting of 30 radiologists, 9 who specialize in interventional radiology and 3 radiation oncologists. Our team of board-certified radiologists provide expertise in sub-specialty areas such as body imaging, neuroradiology, pediatric radiology, musculoskeletal, mammography, vascular and interventional radiology, radiation oncology and nuclear medicine.
Most Radiology Associates physicians are fellowship-trained in diagnostic or interventional specialties. Patients can count on their professional expertise and experience, not only in diagnostic imaging, but also in interventional procedures which use imaging to treat health issues (back pain, leg pain, fibroids, cancers) non noninvasively , without surgery.
Computed tomography (CT) helps differentiate between healthy and diseased tissue, making it possible to accurately diagnose many diseases at an early stage.
Molecular Breast Imaging (MBI) is a new way of providing functional images of the breast, revealing cancerous lesions even in women with dense breasts and difficult-to-read mammograms.
